What is GMO?   

Genetic engineering is a radical technology that forces genetic information into a protective species and changes its DNA in an unnatural way.

 Is GMO safe? 

There is no way to be certain; genetic engineering is gambling with the genome (genes), and it is neither predictable nor reliable. GMO is laboratory-created, and sometimes unlabeled and virtually untested.

 How do the folks at Pacific Bakery Inc. view GMO foods? 

We feel they are risky, dangerous and unnecessary. Pacific Bakery believes it is important you have the freedom of choice when it comes to selecting natural unaltered ingredients in the food you eat. Pacific Bakery purchases all our wholesome ingredients from organic farmers or natural food suppliers. Our vendors provide us written documentation stating that their products are not only organic but also free of GMOs. If a supplier is unwilling to accommodate our request, we seek other sources. As consumers and manufactures, we must continue to work together to reject questionable quality and insist on traditional “whole” foods.
