Genetic modification of the food supply has been in practice for years and recent
media attention has now brought public awareness to a peak. It is important to know
the status of GMO use in your foods so that you can have freedom of choice when it
comes to selecting your daily bread.
We believe that genetically engineered foods are unnecessary and possibly dangerous.
Pacific Bakery purchases all of our ingredients from organic farmers or natural food
suppliers. Our major vendors have provided us with written documentation stating
that their products are free of GMOs. If a supplier is unable to accommodate our
request, we will seek other sources.
As consumers and manufacturers, we must continue to work together to reject
questionable quality and insist on traditional "whole" foods instead.
